A Slice of Italy at Heathy Lea Chatsworth - Ruth & Rob

Updated: Jul 18, 2019

I've been super excited to write about this wedding for a while now, and after receiving some gorgeous photographs from the amazing Danni Turnbull photography, I can finally share! Ruth and Rob were married on a sunny day July at Heathy Lea cottage on the Chatsworth estate. It's a spectacular venue with rolling hills and an idilic landscape set in the middle of the Chatsworth. It wasn't a venue I had come across before, and for anyone looking to get married in the Peak District, it's definitely worth a look. The venue boasts stunning views with fields and countryside, you can get married outside in a gorgeous pergola, and with an awesome marquee, bridal swing and overnight accommodation, it's pretty fab!

Ruth and Rob had a little bit of a rustic vibe to their wedding, along with a slice of Italy. They rented a couple of items for us to decorate their venue, and did some pretty fantastic things with them. They used our vintage paint ladders to create a whiskey corner, displaying a variety of whiskey's for the guests to drink paired with an oak barrels full of glasses. They used our vintage tin bucket to fill with flip flops to save their guests dancing feet, and displayed this next to homemade limoncello favours for their guests. They also hired our our vintage watering can which they filled with flowers and our bucket of umbrellas, which thankfully were not needed as they had glorious sunshine (but at least we were prepared!)

There were so many beautiful details to this special day, which were down to the bride's amazing planning and styling, assisted by bridesmaids. They created the most amazing wedding stationery and menu cards, home made favours and lots of cute little rustic vibes including hunter wellies filled with flowers, and kilner jar drinks station. They celebrated with confetti and sparklers and danced the night away with family and friends. Ruth also sourced some lovely one off pieces, such as a white easel for her table plan, gorgeous balloon glassware for the table drinks and some festoon lighting too, which she is now hiring out to other brides via www.trouvailleweddings.co.uk The photographs above are courtesy of Danni Turnbull photography, and all I can say is wow. I love Danni's style of photography, capturing all the special details without you even knowing she's there. Look at the stunning shot of Ruth walking the isle, special family hugs and the relaxed bridesmaid shots. The images of Ruth & Rob in the fields are gorgeous! Alongside all of this, Danni also focuses on the little handmade details too and decor, which all in all give beautiful memories of the most special day.
